MEANT LABEL NIGHT
SATURDAY DECEMBER 22
POPULETTE live [Throne of Blood]
MARC PIÑOL [Hirven]
REMAIN [Meant]
For this winter episode of the Meant label's residency at Showcase, Remain invited the protagonists of the Discomfort EP, the label's latest release.
The Populette combo has built a remarkable international reputation with a handful of EPs noticed on the New York label Throne Of Blood, an appearance on the label's latest compilation Items & Things mixed by Magda and a good dozen remixes for artists as diverse as The Rapture, Bot'Ox or Scratch Massive... and this thanks to the most solid production quality combined with a very broad musical spectrum, from Nu-disco to Acid House through 'Electro. He will perform live for the first time in Paris on the occasion of this Meant Night to celebrate the release of the Discomfort EP, co-produced with Remain and accompanied by remixes by Troy Pierce, Chloé and Marc Piñol.Marc Piñol, resident of Nitsa in Barcelona is above all an extraordinary DJ whose reputation is well established. He is also a very talented remixer as confirmed by his latest work on Correspondent, Astrolab and Days of Being Wild!
Finally, still as prolific following the release of his EP with Maxime on Throne Of Blood a few weeks ago or this 'Discomfort' with Populette which has just arrived on Meant, Remain continues to tour and release with among other things to come, a remix of the classic It Rough by Headman to be released on Relish at the beginning of January as well as another remix for the new album of the group KXP which will be released at the beginning of 2013... Just that!
Needless to say, winter promises to be hot at Meant Records!
