This end-of-year collaboration, which marks the 50th anniversary of this legendary car and the 25th anniversary of our brand, gives us the opportunity to revisit the history of this iconic little car ;-)
Its friendly "face" and the two large doors without visible handles are due to the brilliant stroke of Michel Boué's pen!
Versatile, fun and at ease everywhere, the little Renault 5 launched in 1972 would win over more than 5 million people around the world in just over a decade!
A staggering figure that largely explains why the Renault 5 is part of our automotive heritage!

On our end, and more modestly ;-) we have limited production of this special series of T-shirts and sweatshirts to 100 pieces per design. And not one more!
But as everyone knows: what is rare is Kulte!

The Renault 5 has always had something special about it, and the numerous finishes and series produced by the manufacturer are another characteristic of the small French car.

Soleil, Campus, Parisienne, Saint-Tropez, Saint-Moritz, Collège, Coach, Avenue, Turbo, … Or even Exclusive and Lauréate, the Renault 5 has had several lives… And that, at Kulte,… We love!

Give me 5! ;-)
Did you know that?

Our little French car was exported to the States and Canada between 1976 and 1984. Named "Le Car," our Frenchie's American adventure was immortalized by an appearance in the series "The A-Team"! So cult!

At Kulte, as you know, we are environmentally conscious, and although we have a preference for Vintage, how can we not talk about the new electric R5 whose design particularly appealed to us!

Reinventing ourselves while keeping a foot in Nostalgia is an approach that resonates with us and is an integral part of our brand DNA.

As a side note, EDF and Renault had studied an electric version of the Renault 5 as early as 1971, which displayed incredible performance for the time with a range of 110km and a top speed of 80km/h.
In the States as well, the US Electricar Corp. offered for a time an electrified version of the Le Car, called the "Lectric Leopard". Approximately 400 units were modified and equipped with an electric motor and lead-acid batteries.
The little one has always been one step ahead!

We wish this new version of the Renault 5, which will be produced in Douai in the Hauts-de-France region and marketed in 2024, every success!

We at Kulte can't wait to see her in real life… Can you?
